The year 2020 has seen Automakers running for Engines that are Turbocharged and car enthusiast are loving the thrill which this relatively small engine provides.

I am speaking about the Skoda Rapid which had first launched the Rapid with a three cylinder engine which produces 175 N-m of torque @ 1750 rpm. The vehicle became a hit for Skoda since the engine specs with that much power was what people wanted in a very low starting price of 7.49 lakhs since same power was offered by other competitors at a very high price. Skoda had to stop booking from the Rapid Rider variant since the waiting period was long for the vehicle as demand became high.

Skoda relaunched the Rapid Rider variant as rapid rider plus and the price was slightly increased to 7.99 lakhs but still the price was competitive to its rivals Hyundai Verna 1.0 and Volkswagen Vento 1.0. Skoda had offered the turbocharged engine with its base variant.

Fuel economy of 19 kmpl since it's a three cylinder engine but the main highlight still remains the engine since rest the design remains the same only gets minor cosmetic changes.The interior feels roomy but the ergonomics are not that convenient but Airbag, ABS, EBD and Infotainment System are offered from the base variant only.

Is it good to buy Skoda Rapid ?

Yes in this price a turbo charged engine which delivers 175 N-m of torque it's a must buy if you wish to feel the thrill without paying a large chunk ok money.In my opinion Rapid Rider plus the base variant is the best buy since it's got everything which one needs But if one wants to go for higher variant then the Onyx variant is the best choice.

Ride quality and handling dynamics are always great in Skoda cars and in terms of safety it's the best choice.
